Healthy Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

By The Body Department October 1, 2017

Fall is officially here! I’m assuming your craving for a Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) from Starbucks is weighing heavy on you and you still can’t figure out why they haven’t created a sugar-free PSL syrup option after all these year?! We digress.

Opt for a healthier (and honestly tastier) option and create your own pumpkin spice smoothie at home. We promise you, with as much as we encourage an active lifestyle, we’re also lazy, and even we think this recipe is easy.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 ripe banana peeled and frozen
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or to taste
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice *
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Mix it all in a blender and boom, you’re done! We told you it was easy.

* If you don’t have a PPS blend, you can use ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger, and a pinch of allspice and nutmeg.
