At Tenth + Fourth we love talking technology and apps that make life easier, so I’m excited to share my five favorite fitness apps with The Body Department. – Harry
Yoga Studio
I love this app. It’s not a “stretch” to say that it’s one of the most useful apps as far as work outs go. It’s just “flexible” with your schedule so you can do Yoga anywhere and anytime. It has over 30 different sessions that range from 15-60 minutes along with a soothing voice and music that easily gets you into zen-mode. Namaste!
Runtastic Pull Ups Trainer Pro
If you don’t need some trainer screaming at you to “Do one more pull up, maggot!” then this app will suit you. A nice voice coach alerts you to begin and how many pull ups you have to do to reach your goal. You put your phone in your pocket and it’ll only count them if you do a proper pull up. It says it uses sport science that helps you build strength and help you reach your pull up goals. Charts to show your progress and reward from the voice coach saying “Great job! You’re a pull up master!”
Bodyweight Training
This workout app just uses what God gave you to get you in shape. Pretty easy to understand and great video tutorials to get you started right away. My favorite thing is you get to choose how long you want to workout. Only got 10 minutes to spare? Then just click and it’ll provide you a workout that’ll get your heart pumping and those calories a burnin’.
Nike Running
Keeps me running and tracks everything from time, miles, gps/map of my run. The PowerSong feature is my favorite because you can program your favorite song that gets you super pumped and press it when you need that extra push towards the finish line
Abs Workout: 8 Minute Abs
This ab workout is simple. A very robotic voice and visuals but as long as you do the workout right, you’ll feel the burn. I turn to this whenever I need to prep for a shirtless scene, which for awhile was quite often.
